Fall Harvest DaysOct. 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20-28
Enjoy family friendly activities in our Fall themed event field. Kids can play in the hay and everyone can play games and try the corn maze. Don’t miss out on the fun of playing knocker ball! Finish the day with a horse drawn hayride and delicious fall foods. Special events every weekend during Fall Harvest - watch for the flyer in august with all the details.

Mommy & Me: Little Boo Pumpkins      Tues, 2-Oct, 10am
This pumpkin craft is a lot more cute than it is scary. Each child and parent will work together to decorate pumpkins with paint. Get ready to get messy! This class is for children 4 years and under. A parent or guardian must stay with the child. Preregistration required. Fee: $5.00

Children’s Craft Class: Plant a Pansy in a Pumpkin      Sat, Oct 13, 10am
We’ll have fun getting a little messy, planting fall pansies inside a small pumpkin. Please dress for a mess. (Pumpkin tops will be pre-cut, so no tools will be used in class.) Preregistration required. Fee: $10.00

 

 

 

 

Reversible Scarecrow & Snowman Sat, Oct 13, 12:30pm - 3:30pm

Have fun and relax with friends while painting this multi-season project.  All the hard work is done: the pallet base is already assembled!  You just get to enjoy painting whimsical smiles on your scarecrow and snowman.  We will paint a scarecrow on one side, take a break and enjoy some wine samples and refreshments, and then paint the other side as a snowman.  We will have assorted silk flowers and ribbon for decoration.  All supplies are provided - just bring your creativity!  Project is approximately 18” wide(plus width of hat brim) x 40” tall.  If your project is not dry by the end of the class, a later pickup date may be arranged.  Preregistration and payment required.  Fee: $50.00

Mommy & Me: Terracotta Turkey Tues, Nov. 6, 10am
Gobble, Gobble, it’s turkey time! Each child and parent will work together to make their own turkey using a terracotta pot, leaves, paper, and glue. This is a great craft to use as a Thanksgiving decoration. This class is for children 4 years and under. A parent or guardian must stay with the child. Preregistration required. Fee: $5.00

Indoor Bulb Garden Thurs, Nov. 8, 5:30pm
Make a beautiful bulb garden now, to display in your home in the Spring. We will fill our container with 30-40 bulbs to create a full, and colorful garden. Ashcombe will over-winter the bulbs for you! Pick up your finished bulb garden in February and place it by a cool, sunny window. You’ll have stunning blooms all month long. Also enjoy wine samples from Adams County Winery and other refreshments. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $50.00

Soup & Bread Luncheon Fri, Nov. 9, 11am
The cold days of November call for hearty soups and delicious breads. Enjoy lunch in the Cafe with samples of homemade soups made in Ashcombe’s Country Cafe. Drinks and dessert are provided, along with the soup recipes. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $15.00

Join us for creative holiday decorating ideas, recipes, crafts and so much more! Pick up a schedule of events at the registers.

Children’s Craft Class: Ornament Making Sat, Nov. 10, 10am
One of the best things about the holidays – besides the food! – is creating heartfelt decorations and gifts. In this class, each child will make 3 ornaments of their own design. We’ll use classic, clear, round ornaments as our base, and we’ll fill them with fun and festive decorations. Kids can make a winter scene with pine cones and snow, fill their ornament with bright holiday confetti, and more. These ornaments will make great keepsakes to hang on your tree, or to give as gifts. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $10.00

Holiday Wreath Making Sat, Nov. 10, 11am
Our floral designer, Nedra, will show you how to create a beautiful holiday wreath with silk floral arrangements. A grapevine wreath will be used as the base for holiday decorations like sprigs of pine, berries, and more. We’ll top off the design with a bow. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $40.00

Country Christmas Fri, Nov. 16, 5-8pm
Join us for this evening filled with holiday fun! Vendors, demonstrations, food sampling, creative displays and so much more! Pick up a complete schedule of events at the registers.

Terrarium & Fairy Garden Workshop Sat, Nov. 17, 1pm
Participants can make either an elegant Terrarium or a cute Fairy Garden! Fee is $5.00 plus plants and supplies. Preregistration and payment required. You may bring your own container or purchase one here.

Each child and parent will work together to decorate two gingerbread cookies. We’ll use icing, gum drops, sprinkles, and other goodies to decorate our gingerbread people. Whether you snack on them after decorating, or take them home for later is your call! This class is for children 4 years and under. A parent or guardian must stay with the child. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $5.00

Ladies Night Wed, Dec. 5, 5-8pm
This special evening is filled with lots of great holiday ideas and treats! We’ll have gourmet food sampling, live decorating demonstrations, a special meal in our Country Cafe and so much more. Don’t miss our special workshops either!

Fresh Greens Container Wed, Dec. 5, 5pm
Each participant will make a beautiful container filled with fresh greens to display for the season. Pre-registration and payment required. Fee: $35.00

Succulent Garden Workshop Wed, Dec. 5, 6pm
Using a unique cement log planter, you will create your very own succulent planter to take home. We will provide all the containers, plants, and soil. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $40.00

Herbal Wine Bottle Planter Wed, Dec. 5, 7pm
Choose 2 of your favorite herbs and plant them in a self-watering wine bottle planter. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $35.00

Milk & Cookies with Mrs. Claus Fridays Dec. 7, 14, 21, 28 10:30am
Bring the kids for story time with Mrs. Claus! We’ll have milk and cookies from our Bakery. FREE to participate!

Children’s Craft Class: Pot a Poinsettia Sat, Dec. 8, 10am
Poinsettias are perfect for the holidays! Each child will paint a holiday or winter scene on a terracotta pot. Then we’ll pot up a gorgeous, red poinsettia plant. Display it in your home, or give as a gift to someone special. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $10.00
