Children’s Garden Camp, July 17th-21st
10-12pm each day.
A week long camp where kids will learn about plants, flowers, and everything else in the garden!
Each day we’ll get a little dirty, do a craft, and have a snack. Please wear old clothes. Ages 5 and up. Preregistration and payment required. Fee: $20.00 per day, or $90.00 for all 5 days.
Monday: We’ll have fun in our gardens looking at all the summer colors! The kids will make cosmic sun catchers that will have all the colors of the rainbow. Playing a garden memory game will help us learn the flowers, tools, and bugs that we might find in the garden. We’ll finish the day with a rainbow themed snack.
Tuesday: Herbs will be the topic for the day. We will talk about the different herbs a garden can have. The kids will see how we can use herbs by making a living herb wreath and some lavender anti-stress putty. We’ll finish the day with herbal delights.
Wednesday: We will decorate a garden pot that we will plant later in the week. We’ll also practice naming vegetables by playing a fun game in our gardens. We’ll finish the day with a yummy and healthy, veggie snack.
Thursday: We’ll get inspired by the decorations in the gift shop and garden supply and then we’ll make some of our own out of recycled materials. We will make lanterns from tin cans and flowers from egg cartons. We will finish the day with a yummy caterpillar snack.
Friday: On our last day, we will pot a plant and play some garden games. We’ll have an ice cream party where the kids will show their parents what we made during the week.
